Online Job Opportunity For Filipinos

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) started last January 2020 specifically in the country of China and spread out to other parts of the world. One of the countries that greatly affected was the Philippines. Being a third world country, facing this kind of pandemic brought a lot of challenges from the economy, business, employment, and its community. The government gives its best to combat this pandemic and to serve the people but still, these are not enough to cover all the problems. One of those problems is many Filipinos have lost their jobs due to the pandemic.

Effects of Pandemic

During the pandemic, there are so many business establishments that stop their operations, declare bankruptcy, and reduce their manpower that leads so many Filipino workers jobless. Most of the workers that are greatly affected come from the private sector. Private sectors like private schools, salons, restaurants, constructions, entertainment, et.al. People are stuck from home without any source of income. Aside from that, an ordinary Filipino worker with a family thinks how he can earn an income to support their daily needs and pay their expenses of not having work during a pandemic. Even a single status Filipino worker feels it too and need to find ways how he can survive. While pandemic still exists, life will not go back to normal unless there is already a vaccine for everyone to prevent the spread of the virus.

Online Job Opportunity Comes in

After the ECQ (Enhance Community Quarantine) the government decided to put the country in MECQ (Modified Enhance Community Quarantine) and later in GCQ (General Community Quarantine) while social distancing is observed. This GCQ is applicable only in those selected areas of the country. The government agencies turn to a skeletal workforce and most of the government transactions go online. Government employees are in work from home set up even those who work in private sectors. Some companies reduce their traditional employees and hire a freelancer. Some people may go back to work but others need to find new work. Because of these, many Filipinos decided to work from home and online opportunity comes in. Some Filipinos are starting to venture now into online jobs and shift their careers from corporate to freelancing. There are so many online job opportunities that you can choose from like a virtual assistant, transcriptionist, social media manager, graphic designer, customer service representative, SEO expert, affiliate marketing, and many more. All you need to do is identify your niche and master your skills. You can also enroll in an online course that offers a freelancing course where you can enhance your existing skills and to learn more about freelancing. Even before the pandemic, there are so many Filipinos who had been already in the freelancing industry. An industry where they can earn a bigger income to support their families, more time to travel, and more time for family. Some clients prefer a Filipino freelancer to help them on their day to day tasks because of their skills and how they work.
